Job summary

HappyRobot is hiring its first Strategic Finance & Business Operations hire to build the finance function from the ground up. The role splits time 50% on strategic finance and 50% on project-based business operations, reporting to the Head of Finance. This is a foundational, high-impact position in a fast-growing AI infrastructure startup.

You will build models, create dashboards, support fundraising, and shape company strategy with data-driven analysis alongside founders and leadership.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience with strong foundation in investment banking, private equity, or consulting, followed by experience at a high-growth technology company
• Extensive financial modeling experience
• Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets
• SQL proficiency; Python or BI tools are a plus

Responsibilities

• Build dashboards and reporting for real-time visibility into revenue, burn, unit economics, and operating metrics
• Own FP&A including annual planning, rolling forecasts, and headcount modeling
• Support fundraising, investor relations, and strategic transactions with data-driven analysis
• Develop and maintain scalable financial infrastructure to support growth toward series B and beyond
• Drive procurement, vendor evaluation, and cost optimization across the company
