The Roeper School in Bloomfield Hills, MI seeks an experienced Director of Finance and Operations to provide leadership over the school’s financial, business, and daily operations. Reporting to the Head of School, the DFO will guide budgeting, financial planning, risk management, and vendor management while collaborating with governance and committees.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business management with relevant experience.
• CPA or CFA designation is required; graduate degree preferred.
• Experience in nonprofit organizations and school operations is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, and financial reporting.

Responsabilidades

• Develops and implements short- and long-term financial strategies.
• Prepares the annual operating budget, forecasts, and financial reports.
• Oversees external audits and IRS filings for nonprofit entities.
• Manages HR, payroll, benefits, and vendor relationships.
• Oversees facilities, technology, transportation, and risk management.
