Job summary

ADAPP, the Archdiocese Drug Abuse Prevention Program, seeks a Director of Finance and Operations to lead financial strategy and day-to-day operations. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will drive budgeting, reporting, and compliance for nonprofit finance while overseeing HR, IT, and facilities.

You will mentor teams, manage risk, and collaborate with the Archdiocese and state agencies to ensure fiscal integrity and program excellence. Exempt, full-time role in New York.

Qualifications

• MBA preferred and Bachelor's in Business or Accounting.
• Strong knowledge of nonprofit finance and GAAP for nonprofits.
• Proficiency with CFRS, CFRS, and federal/state grant compliance is required.
• Experience leading finance and operations in a nonprofit environment.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement long-term financial strategies with budgeting and forecasting.
• Oversee accounting, financial statements, internal controls and audits.
• Manage operations including HR, IT, facilities, and vendor relations.
• Coordinate cash flow, banking relationships, and investment operations for stability.
• Lead and mentor finance and operations teams, fostering performance and accountability.
• Partner with Archdiocese on risk management and insurance coverage.
• Act as primary liaison to the Board of Directors and Committees.
• Improve financial and operational processes to drive efficiency.
