Job summary

Kansas State University is seeking a Director of Finance & Administration to join the executive team. The role oversees the Housing and Dining Services budget of about $50 million and 4,500+ residents, driving financial strategy, accounting, and reporting, and leading capital projects.

Responsibilities include strategic planning, data analytics, and coordinating with university partners to ensure compliance, efficiency, and service excellence across finance, housing, retail, and facilities.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience.
• Education beyond the minimum degree requirement may count toward required experience if deemed relevant by the hiring manager.
• Master's degree preferred and 10 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides executive-level leadership for a complex Housing and Dining operation with a $50M+ budget and 4,500+ residents.
• Oversees financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, procurement, compliance, and audit readiness.
• Leads bond financing, tax-exemption initiatives, and capital funding for major facilities improvements.
• Leads departmental data analytics and occupancy forecasting, rate-setting, and data-driven decision making.
• Collaborates with University Purchasing, General Counsel, the University Controller, and other partners to advance priorities.
