Job summary

Amazon Logistics (AMZL) Finance seeks a Finance Manager to support our Volume and Capacity Planning team. Lead the finance function for short and medium term planning with cross-geography partners, building data-driven insights to improve accuracy and drive cost reductions.

You will collaborate with executives and finance leaders across multiple business units to ensure sound controller ship, challenge assumptions, and deliver timely analyses that influence capacity and routing decisions for

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field.
5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience.
MBA or CPA preferred.
6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data and creating escalation plans.
6+ years delivering forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis and data interpretation with impact.
Knowledge of SQL/ETL and data mining/reporting tools.
Experience with Oracle, SAP, Lawson or JD Edwards financial systems.

Responsibilities

Deep dive attainment bridge and partner on identifying opportunities to increase attainment.
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to drive process improvements in financial and operational performance.
Analyze data and create meaningful analyses to lead business improvement and cost reductions.
Advise on short and medium term volume planning processes and cost impact.
Collaborate with North America Transportation on capacity drivers.
Bridge volume weekly vs plan and isolate controllable drivers.
Report forecast accuracy and cost impacts; drive actions with S&OP and field finance.
Calculate buffers costs and advise on P&L impact.
