Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Finance Manager to lead financial planning and act as a strategic business partner for manufacturing facilities. You will drive budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, while partnering with plant leadership to improve profitability and growth.

You will analyze data, build financial models, and support capital investments, cost optimization, and working capital management in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. This role reports to the Area Sr.

Qualifications

5+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or business analysis roles.
Strong planning, forecasting, budgeting, and accounting experience.
Ability to influence business decisions through financial analysis and strategic recommendations.
Experience partnering with operational leaders and cross-functional teams to drive outcomes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and monthly financial reporting for assigned facilities.
Analyze financial and operational results, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to improve performance.
Partner with plant and commercial leaders to drive revenue growth, margin expansion, and cost optimization.
Monitor weekly and monthly performance metrics and report insights to leadership.
Develop and maintain financial models supporting decisions and long-term planning.
Serve as a trusted financial advisor to plant leadership with decision support.
Collaborate with operations and commercial teams to improve profitability through pricing and efficiency.
Support workforce planning and capital allocation decisions.
Identify capital investments and ROI analyses for projects and track results.
