Job summary

Institute of Management Accountants, Inc. seeks a Manager - Finance to oversee financial activities for a business segment, ensuring regulatory compliance while driving accurate budgeting and forecasting.

You will partner with business leaders to plan, measure performance, and support growth strategies, leading the close process and delivering strategic insights. Hybrid role based in Pittsburgh, PA or Glenview, IL, with 7+ years in finance, CPA/CMA preferred, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Finance, Accounting, or related required or equivalent.
• MBA preferred for leadership and growth responsibilities.
• CPA or CMA preferred certification.
• 7 years progressive finance experience.
• 3 years supervisory or leadership experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects.
• Travel up to 25%.
• Hybrid work location in Pittsburgh, PA or Glenview, IL.

Responsibilities

• Support financial reporting objectives and standards for managers.
• Provide analytical and financial support to assigned business leader.
• Interface with business leaders to enable planning, performance measurement, and cost understanding.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close.
• Develop strategies to support growth via partnerships and core business expansion.
• Prepare financial reports and perform analyses.
• Ensure budgets and forecasts are entered and reconciled in financial systems.
• Lead preparation of forecasts, annual budget, and long-term strategic plan.
• Prepare schedules for compliance activities including audits and tax packages.
• Lead and motivate staff in a collaborative environment.
