Job summary

HOPE Church is seeking a Finance Manager to provide strategic leadership of financial operations, reporting, and controls. You will oversee accounting, budgeting, payroll, cash management, and donor accounting while partnering with leadership to support ministry growth.

You will supervise a part-time Finance Associate, drive process improvements, and ensure compliance with nonprofit requirements. This role is based in Richmond, VA and requires strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
• CPA or equivalent advanced financial credential preferred, but not required.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting or finance experience.
• Experience supervising financial processes and/or support staff preferred.
• Experience in nonprofit, ministry, church, or multi-entity accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting and financial operations for HOPE Church and related entities.
• Maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure reliable reporting.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reporting packages.
• Lead payroll processing and related obligations.
• Coordinate annual external audit and regulatory filings.
