Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Finance Manager to own end-to-end P&Ls for a portfolio of services within AWS. You will partner with finance leadership and business partners to drive analysis, profitability, and controllership across multiple teams.

The role requires strong financial modeling, problem-solving, and communication skills to navigate a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. This position is based in Seattle, WA, with on-site collaboration across several business units.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role experience
• 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
• 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience

Responsibilities

• Own service-level P&L across a portfolio of AWS services, including variance analysis and executive-ready commentary for reviews
• Communicate financial and business results to senior leaders; focus on the why and actions
• Collaborate with finance and business leaders — including GMs, PMs, and Engineers — for strategic decisions and alignment
• Identify and quantify Risks & Opportunities, surfacing trends and anomalies
• Perform deep dive analyses to develop recommendations that drive profitability, topline, and efficiency
• Identify opportunities for process and systems improvements, including automation
• Ensure a high level of financial controllership, maintaining data integrity
