Job summary

Charles Schwab in Colorado is seeking a Senior Manager, SAM Finance to lead planning, forecasting, and monthly reporting for the SAM enterprise. You will manage two direct reports and develop financial insights to inform the Central Planning process.

The role emphasizes building models, partnering with Finance groups, presenting to Senior Leaders, and coaching talent in a fast-growing Asset Management unit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting required.
• 7+ years of FP&A, corporate finance, strategic finance, or related financial analysis experience.
• Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills.
• Proven ability to build strong relationships across management levels and communicate complex financial concepts to senior audiences.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources.
• Experience effectively managing several workstreams/projects concurrently and independently

Responsibilities

• Lead annual planning, quarterly forecasting, and monthly reporting processes for SAM enterprise, including expense and product revenue components.
• Analyze business performance, identify key trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide insights and decision support.
• Manage two direct reports, establishing clear objectives and development plans, and providing coaching on performance to accelerate their growth.
• Develop and review financial models, scenario analyses, and long-range forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate independently with partners in SAM and across various Finance groups to simplify and improve processes and reduce risk.
• Prepare executive-level presentations with clear messaging articulating financial results, forecasts, risks, and opportunities.
• Drive engagement forward within SAM Finance team and across Enterprise Finance/Corp Planning through daily modeling of strong leadership behavior
