Job summary

Charles Schwab is seeking a Senior Manager for SAM Finance to lead forecasting, planning, and reporting for the Asset Management finance team. You will develop and mentor two finance professionals, partner across Finance, and build models to inform strategic decisions.

The role emphasizes insights over routine reporting, with a focus on business partnership and continuous improvement in the Central Planning process.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive FP&A experience.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
• Proven ability to build relationships across management levels and communicate complex financial concepts to senior audiences.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with large datasets and multiple sources.
• Experience managing several workstreams/projects concurrently and independently.
• Ability to drive engagement and coach team members for growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual planning, quarterly forecasting, and monthly reporting for SAM enterprise, including expense and product revenue components.
• Analyze performance, identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide insights for decision support.
• Manage two direct reports with clear objectives and development plans; review work for quality and ownership.
• Develop and review financial models, scenario analyses, and long-range forecasts to support strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with SAM and cross-enterprise Finance teams to simplify processes and reduce risk.
• Prepare executive presentations with clear messaging on results, forecasts, risks, and opportunities; present to Sr. Leadership.
• Drive engagement within SAM Finance and Enterprise Finance through data-driven leadership.
