Job summary

Charles Schwab in San Francisco seeks a Senior Manager for SAM Finance to lead forecasting, planning, and monthly reporting for the SAM enterprise. You will manage two finance professionals, build impactful financial models, and deliver insights to inform the Central Planning process.

You will partner with SAM and other Finance groups to simplify processes, reduce risk, and coach your team toward greater ownership and independence. The role emphasizes people development and business insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
• 7+ years of FP&A, corporate finance, strategic finance, or related financial analysis experience.
• Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills.
• Proven ability to build relationships across management levels and communicate complex financial concepts to senior audiences.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources.
• Experience effectively managing several workstreams/projects concurrently and independently.
• Ability to drive engagement among team members and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual planning, quarterly forecasting, and monthly reporting processes for SAM enterprise, including both expense and product revenue components.
• Analyze business performance, identify key trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide insights and decision support.
• Manage two direct reports, establishing clear objectives and development plans, and providing coaching on performance to accelerate their professional growth.
• Develop and review financial models, scenario analyses, and long-range forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate independently with partners in SAM and across Finance to simplify and improve processes and reduce risk.
• Prepare executive-level presentations with clear messaging, articulating financial results, forecasts, risks, and opportunities; present to Sr. Leadership.
• Drive engagement within SAM Finance and Enterprise Finance by modeling leadership behaviors.
