Job summary

Until Labs is seeking its first dedicated strategic finance hire to sit beside the CEO and leadership team. You will own the financial picture end to end, from long-range forecasting to fundraising support, cap table management, and 409A processes.

You will build models with clear assumptions, evaluate investments and capital needs, and translate complex analyses into actionable insights for scientists, founders, and investors.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, growth equity, corporate development, strategic finance, or another investing- or transaction-intensive role.
• Exceptionally strong financial modeler with ability to build models from scratch and develop well-supported assumptions.
• Ability to explain model structure, key drivers, and learnings to scientists, founders and investors.
• Ability to produce quick, thoughtful back-of-the-envelope estimates and justify reasoning clearly.

Responsibilities

• Build and own Until's long-range financial model, operating forecast, and scenario planning across facility buildout, new programs, hiring, and capital needs.
• Evaluate go-to-market strategy for a first-of-its-kind product with the Director of Strategy.
• Support future fundraising with financial models, diligence, and data-room management.
• Shape capital strategy across venture financing, non-dilutive grants, and strategic partnerships.
• Oversee budgeting, vendor spend, cap table administration, and 409A coordination with external accounting.
• Translate complex analyses into clear recommendations for scientists, founders, and investors.
