Corps Team in Jacksonville, FL or Charlotte, NC seeks a Finance Principal for a 7-month contract onsite. This role designs and performs analysis of financial results, including modeling, reporting, and SEC disclosures.

You will work with Controllership and senior management to inform decisions and support audit processes. The position requires 5+ years (7+ preferred) in accounting/finance with SEC reporting experience; CPA or related certifications are a plus.

Qualificações

• Must have Financial or Regulatory Reporting for a consolidated company.
• Ability to research SEC or regulatory guidance, interpret and apply to the SEC filing.
• Accounting or finance degree strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of experience required; 7+ years preferred.
• Public accounting and/or banking experience preferred.
• Experience in corporate role with ownership and visibility to total company financial reporting.

Responsabilidades

• Evaluates financial models that analyze monthly results to identify drivers and explain variances.
• Ensures adherence to financial regulations, accounting standards, and audit requirements.
• Liaises with internal and external auditors during annual audits.
• Requires experience supporting SEC reporting and public company financial reporting requirements, including preparation and review of periodic filings and related disclosures.
• Assists with preparation of financial reporting to regulators, investors and Board.
• Performs analysis of the financial statements and key metrics to understand and communicate bank's performance.
• Reviews forecasts and modeling and ensures results are timely and accurate.
• Leads planning and re-forecasting activities and updating/evolving forecast models.
• Monitors general ledger journal entry activity during close to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
• Reviews ad hoc departmental reports that analyze departmental financial results versus budget/forecasts.
• Reviews financial reports and presentations for management that inform business and financial decisions.
• Provides support to junior Financial Analysts regarding challenges that require more advanced knowledge and experience.
• Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
• Ensures financial risks are mitigated through execution of appropriate controls.
