Fortegra seeks an experienced Financial Planning and Analysis Senior Manager to lead critical forecasting, budgeting, and performance analyses at our Jacksonville headquarters. You will own planning workstreams, partner with multiple business units, and coach a Leadership Development Program participant.

The role emphasizes advanced Excel modeling, strong communication, and the ability to influence executive decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 4–6+ years in FP&A or finance with independent planning ownership.
• Ability to lead budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and performance analysis.
• Strong communication skills to explain results to executives and non-finance audiences.
• Experience coaching junior staff and managing cross-functional partnerships.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills to reconcile complex data.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned components of the annual operating plan, reforecast, and monthly performance reviews; manage timelines and models.
• Serve as FP&A partner for designated businesses, challenge assumptions, and validate performance drivers.
• Analyze actuals vs budget/forecast, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend actions.
• Develop financial models, profitability analyses, and scenarios; support multi-year planning of growth initiatives.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Actuarial, Underwriting, and Claims to validate assumptions and metrics.
• Prepare executive and board materials with clear explanations of results and implications.
• Lead cross-functional projects to improve reporting, forecasting, data accuracy, and documentation.
• Review junior analyst work and mentor LDP participant.
