Job summary

Chainalysis is seeking a Senior Manager of Strategic Finance in New York to partner with senior leadership on long-range financial planning, pricing strategy, and capital allocation decisions. The role blends rigorous analytics with executive communication to drive growth initiatives and high-impact strategic projects.

You will build dynamic financial models, conduct market and pricing analyses, and synthesize findings into actionable recommendations for the CFO and Finance leadership.

Qualifications

• 6–9 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, FP&A, or a similar analytical role.
• Strong executive presentation skills – ability to clearly present topics to a C-level audience.
• Possess an investor mindset; synthesize complex business dynamics into investment theses and risk-adjusted recommendations.
• Strong business intuition — connect financial outcomes to operational drivers.
• Comfortable operating with ambiguity and making high-quality decisions with incomplete information.
• Entrepreneurial orientation: define and develop the strategic finance function, not just execute.
• Excellent financial modeling skills, including working with large data sets in Excel and Google Sheets.
• Experience working at a SaaS, data, or technology company; blockchain/crypto familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead valuation work and TAM analyses and market research.
• Drive market analyses and competitive intelligence analyses.
• Analyze current pricing and packaging models and understand pricing trends in AI and crypto sectors.
• Develop long-range financial models and run scenario analyses for capital allocation decisions (M&A, partnerships, new markets).
• Synthesize outputs into executive-ready narratives and recommendations.
• Track post-investment performance against underwriting assumptions and provide learnings.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and partner with business teams on strategic decisions.
