Job summary

Runlayer in New York seeks its first dedicated finance hire to own the operating model, monthly metrics reporting, pricing and unit economics, and close processes. You will build live dashboards for ARR, burn, and sales productivity, and own the finance tech stack including QuickBooks, Ramp, banking partners, and the billing system.

You will manage tax, revenue recognition, and reporting requirements, and partner with sales leadership on comp plans.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in investment banking or private equity, followed by 3+ years in strategic finance or FP&A at a high-growth startup.
• AI-native; you should already be using AI heavily in your own work.
• Experience at an enterprise sales company, ideally with infrastructure or usage-based focus.
• Strong modeling skills. Driver-based, easy to audit, built for others to use.
• You’ve managed accounting closes.
• Comfortable building and owning the entire finance function.

Responsibilities

• Own the operating model and monthly metrics reporting.
• Build and maintain live dashboards for ARR, pipeline, burn, and sales productivity.
• Own the finance tech stack: QuickBooks, Ramp, banking partners, billing system, and their integrations.
• Manage tax, revenue recognition, reporting requirements, and financial compliance.
• Lead the monthly accounting close with the accounting team.
• Partner with sales leadership on comp plans, quota design, and capacity models.
• Prepare board materials and support fundraising diligence.
