Job summary

Sunday in Denver is seeking a VP of Finance to lead FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic finance, building disciplined cash management and profitability to fund growth and retail expansion.

This role partners with the executive team, directs the annual plan, drives KPI analysis, and oversees accounting, treasury, and capital strategy to optimize ROIC. You will lead a small finance team and ensure timely reporting to investors and the Board.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in finance/accounting.
• Deep knowledge of the subscription, ecommerce, and CPG industries.
• Experience with debt financing, capital raises, or exit/M&A.
• Comfort with the startup environment and fast-changing contexts.
• Excellent proficiency in Excel, Looker, and our data technology stack.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and refine Sunday’s financial model, including EBITDA and cash flow projections.
• Own financial management of forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and related processes.
• Build rolling 13-week cash flow forecasts and longer-term runway models.
• Lead EBITDA modeling, variance analysis, and driver-based forecasting.
• Manage reporting packages for investors, lenders, and the Board of Directors.
• Direct capital and treasury strategy, debt facilities, and capital raises.
• Partner with commercial teams to optimize capital allocation.
• Support monthly performance reporting with insightful variance analysis.
• Evaluate KPIs and margins, and analyze price, volume, and product mix impacts.
• Ensure accurate monthly forecasts and timely accounting processes.
• Drive working capital management and cash efficiency.
