Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Senior Manager, Finance to drive financial planning, forecasting, and analysis with a focus on balance sheet management and cash flow forecasting. This role suits a professional with accounting or controllership background aiming to leverage technical accounting in a strategic finance capacity.

The team focuses on variance analysis, forecasting, and ensuring accurate reporting to leadership, translating insights into actionable business actions and performance improvements.

Qualifications

• CPA certification is strongly preferred or equivalent public/corporate accounting experience.
• Experience with balance sheet forecasting and cash flow forecasting.
• Strong GAAP knowledge, accrual accounting, and financial reporting.
• Ability to investigate variances and translate results into forward-looking insights.
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills with cross-functional partnering experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead balance sheet and cash flow forecasting to develop projections.
• Analyze month-end close results and explain variances vs. forecasts.
• Partner with Accounting, Controllership, and Finance teams on forecasts.
• Develop complex financial models for planning and cash flow management.
• Communicate results, forecasts, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.
• Drive improvements in forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis processes.
