Job summary

JAC Recruitment in Torrance, CA seeks a VP of Strategic Finance who will lead equity fundraising strategy for future rounds, build and activate an investor network, and manage all investor communications and materials.

You will translate technical progress into a compelling investment thesis, prepare the CEO for investor meetings, and develop financial models tying strategy to growth. This is a high-ownership, hands-on startup finance leadership role.

Qualifications

• Direct experience raising equity capital in a venture-backed startup (Series B or earlier).
• Experience leading multiple financing rounds before Series B.
• Deep understanding of the full financing process from the company side.
• Active investor network with immediate value.
• Ability to open doors and accelerate fundraising now.
• Strong interest in robotics, space systems and hardware.
• Translate complex technical information into a clear investor narrative.
• Comfort working with founders and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead equity financing strategy and execution for future fundraising rounds.
• Build and manage an investor network across VC, strategic investors, family offices etc.
• Leverage investor network to support fundraising efforts.
• Own fundraising narrative, materials, financial models, decks, diligence, data room.
• Translate progress in robotics and aerospace into a compelling investment thesis.
• Prepare the CEO for investor interactions and manage meetings/communications.
• Develop financial models linking strategy, roadmap, hiring, cap requirements, growth.
• Support capital allocation, strategic partnerships, and corporate development.
• Help build the finance function with startup agility.
