Job summary

Novanta Inc. in Apex, North Carolina, seeks a seasoned FP&A leader to head the finance function for the Robotics and Automation business unit. This hands-on role partners with BU leadership to drive forecasts, budgeting, and strategic initiatives across global locations.

You will develop robust financial models, deliver actionable insights, and oversee Power BI reporting to inform commercial decisions and productivity programs. Travel ~25% to Robotic & Automation sites.

Qualifications

• Progressive FP&A experience, preferably in industrial manufacturing.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive financial excellence.
• Strong modeling and analytical capabilities with advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly and quarterly financial analysis of P&L and balance sheet.
• Own forecasting, budgeting, and multi-year planning with BU leadership.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards for real-time performance insights.
• Advise on pricing, investments, and cost optimization to improve margins.
• Collaborate across HR, operations, and commercial teams on headcount planning.
