Job summary

The Superior Court of California, County of Riverside is seeking a Director of Finance to provide strategic financial leadership across accounting, budgeting, revenue, and fiscal administration. This is a senior public-sector role reporting to the Chief Financial Officer.

You will lead complex financial operations, guide budget development, strengthen controls, ensure GAAP/GASB compliance, and manage revenue streams while mentoring a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public or business administration, accounting, finance, economics or related field.
• Six years of professional budget or accounting experience with two years in supervision/management.
• Master's degree, CPA or CMA may substitute for two years of experience.
• Public sector/government experience and PMP certification are desirable qualifications.

• Provide strategic leadership for accounting, budget, revenue, and financial operations.
• Oversee development, administration and presentation of the annual budget.
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, goals, and operational strategies.
