Job summary

San Bernardino Superior Court is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to lead daily accounting operations, audit and reconcile accounts, and prepare financial reports. You will supervise staff, enforce internal controls, and ensure GAAP compliance across the Finance Department.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance and at least five years of professional accounting experience, with at least one year in a supervisory capacity. CPA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/business administration or closely related field.
• Five years of increasingly responsible professional accounting experience, including one year in a lead or supervisory capacity.
• CPA is preferred and a California Driver’s License with a good driving record may be required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, assigns, supervises, and reviews the work of assigned staff; determines staffing needs; trains and evaluates staff; mentors and provides feedback; participates in succession planning; implements discipline procedures.
• Ensures compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures; develops internal controls; prepares reports on staff activities and projects; reviews and improves services administered.
