Job summary

Gateway Area Development District in Kentucky is seeking a Director of Finance to oversee the organization’s financial operations, including accounts payable, payroll, budgeting, Medicaid billing, and external reporting. The role requires leading the Finance Division, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with policies and grantor requirements.

Responsibilities include staff management, annual audits, CAP and cost allocation, and coordination with the Executive Director and Board.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; 3 years nonprofit/government experience.
• Three years related work experience in nonprofit/government; CPA preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Employees will be expected to participate in professional development trainings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial management including AP, payroll, budgeting, and reporting.
• Lead the Finance Division staff and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Coordinate annual audits, Medicaid billing, and grant reporting requirements.
• Prepare and monitor budgets, CAP, and cost allocation plans.
• Provide financial reports to the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
