Job summary

Oldcastle, a CRH company, is seeking an experienced Director of Finance to oversee financial operations for our Northeast manufacturing network. The role guides financial strategy, ensures fiscal discipline, and provides insights to drive profitability and sustainable growth.

The successful candidate will lead budgeting, reporting, cost accounting, ERP optimization, and partnerships with operations and supply chain, with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field required.
• CPA designation strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, manufacturing focus.
• Experience in senior leadership roles (e.g., Plant Controller).
• Experience with ERP implementations and optimization.
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and strategic planning.
• Strong cost accounting, inventory management, and manufacturing finance principles.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP/BI tools; travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Financial planning: Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning; partner with management leadership.
• Financial reporting and analysis: Oversee GAAP-compliant financial statements and KPIs/dashboards.
• Cost accounting and inventory: Manage standard costing, variance analysis, and allocations across sites; oversee inventory accounting.
• Operational finance partnership: Align budgets with operational execution with department heads.
• ERP systems and process improvement: Lead ERP enhancements and automate finance processes.
• Risk management and compliance: Maintain internal controls and liaise with auditors.
• Capital expenditures and investments: Analyze C/E and M&A for strategic investments.
• Team leadership: Develop the regional finance and accounting team.
