Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of senior finance/accounting experience in the government sector.
• MBA or related field required.
• Comprehensive GAAP knowledge and strong accounting principles.
• Experience in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
• Proven success in audits, compliance, and financial reporting.
• Strong leadership with ability to manage a finance team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to present complex data clearly.
• Proficient in financial software and advanced MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure financial health.
• Oversee preparation of all financial statements per GAAP, monthly/quarterly/annual reports.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting to meet strategic objectives.
• Monitor performance, analyze results, and drive corrective actions.
• Coordinate the annual audit with external auditors and the board committee.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state/local requirements and reporting.
• Advise on long-term financial planning and opportunities for growth.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations and accounting standards.
