Job summary

Li & Fung in New York seeks a Senior Director of Accounting and Finance to lead the US finance operations with a hands-on, business-minded approach. The role partners with local and global stakeholders to drive strategy, cost optimization and financial discipline.

The successful candidate will supervise accounting, treasury, tax, audit, and compliance functions, while directing financial planning and reporting across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Solid education background in Finance and Accounting; a Qualified Accountant is preferred.
• A minimum of 12-15 years progressive and comprehensive finance and accounting experience including at least 7-10 years in a managerial role.
• Extensive knowledge of accounting and finance, audit, tax, reporting, budgeting.
• Excellent communication skills with proven ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior business leadership to develop strategies, optimize costs and mitigate risks.
• Provide financial analysis and actionable business insights to support decision-making.
• Serve as primary finance liaison to the Hong Kong headquarters and align with global finance strategy.
• Lead finance, accounting, treasury, cash management, FP&A, tax, audit and compliance functions.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting, consolidation, budgeting and accounting operations.
• Manage external relationships with banks and tax consultants in the US.
• Direct the FP&A function and oversee credit insurance and risk evaluation.
• Oversee local tax compliance and treasury activities; drive finance transformation initiatives.
• Lead a multi-location finance team across New York, Greensboro, HK and Guangzhou.
