Job summary

Core-Mark, a leader in convenience retail supply chain, seeks a strategic finance partner to the OpCo Presidents across divisions. You will oversee financial planning, budgeting, and management reporting to drive revenue growth and optimize asset returns.

This on-site role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency with forecasting, and the ability to influence at the highest levels. Light travel between Columbus, Cleveland, and Detroit may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and finance is required.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis and forecasting.
• Analytical mind with a strategic ability.
• Excellent organization and leadership skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Persuasive at the highest levels.
• Builds collaborative relationships across the business.
• Ability to work with large data sets and provide concise overviews.

Responsibilities

• Develop annual strategic and financial plans for divisions with management input.
• Review customer proformas to support pricing and profitability analyses.
• Ensure expense leverage across the division in selling, warehousing, delivery, and general costs.
• Submit timely forecasts and trend analyses per corporate templates.
• Communicate material forecast or budget changes promptly.
• Review financial results and advise on corrective actions for variances.
• Prepare, review, and approve month‑end variance reporting and journal entries.
• Monitor inventory management to protect asset value and minimize shrink.
• Support external and internal audit processes as needed.
• Provide ad hoc analysis to assist Regional VP and Division Presidents.
