Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field.
• Five years of progressively responsible financial accounting experience in municipal government.
• At least five years in a supervisory capacity.
• Master’s degree or CPA progress preferred; ERP experience valued.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct the Finance Department including accounting, debt management, financial reporting, payroll, and treasury management.
• Prepare reports on financial condition and present data graphically.
• Develop and maintain an effective customer service program for city customers.
• Supervise staff; interview, select, and train subordinates; evaluate performance.
