Job summary

Shields Manufacturing in the United States is seeking a seasoned Controller to own financial statement integrity, forecasting, and internal controls across multiple locations. You will partner with operational leaders to drive performance, implement automation, and support strategic initiatives.

The role requires CPA and 6+ years in accounting/finance with FP&A experience; leadership of teams across sites is essential. Expect collaboration with the CFO and a focus on scalable finance processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required.
• 6+ years in accounting/finance with controllership or senior accounting management.
• 3+ years FP&A/finance business partnering with forecasting and budgeting.
• Advanced financial modeling and data analysis in Excel.
• Experience with inventory accounting in manufacturing.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge.
• Leadership of accounting/finance teams.
• ERP proficiency (NetSuite, SAP, MS Dynamics).

Responsibilities

• Own month-, quarter-, and year-end close across locations.
• Prepare consolidated US GAAP financial statements.
• Manage intercompany eliminations and multi-entity consolidation.
• Coordinate external audits and lead annual audit.
• Maintain accounting documentation and implement new standards.
• Deliver FP&A insights and forecast trends to support decisions.
• Develop advanced financial models for scenario planning.
• Present executive-level KPI reporting on risks and opportunities.
• Drive cross-functional forecasting improvements and transparency.
• Support budgeting and cost management.
• Oversee GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, and payroll accounting.
• Manage inventory accounting including standard costing.
• Maintain internal controls across sites.
• Lead balance sheet reconciliations and resolve aged items.
• Partner with Operations on BOM accuracy and cost variance.
