Job summary

TheCorporate in Hebron/Colchester, CT is seeking a Controller to lead the Accounting function and support continued business growth. You will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, costing, inventory, internal controls, audits, and financial analysis while partnering with Operations and Senior Leadership.

This role requires strong leadership, manufacturing costing experience, and advanced Excel skills to drive performance and compliance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Accounting Department.
• Oversee General Ledger, AP, AR, Payroll, Purchasing, Inventory, Cost of Sales, CapEx, and Treasury.
• Manage cash-flow reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting.
• Prepare and present financial KPIs to Senior Leadership.
• Analyze financial performance and explain variances.
• Partner with Operations to develop performance metrics and improvement initiatives.
• Support S&OP, P&L forecasting, and cash-flow planning.
• Maintain product and customer costing records.
• Support Business Development and Engineering with new-business quotes.
• Identify and manage cost-saving opportunities.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and internal controls.
• Coordinate annual financial statement audits.
• Support corporate tax compliance and required government surveys.
• Lead annual physical inventory of Raw Materials, Finished Goods, and WIP.
