Job summary

StaffingForce is seeking an experienced Controller for a growing aerospace/defense manufacturer in the United States. The role leads financial management, accounting operations, reporting, compliance, and strategic financial planning in partnership with executive leadership and Corporate Finance.

The Controller will oversee GAAP reporting, maintain SOX controls, ensure CAS/FAR/DFARS compliance, and support DCAA audits while driving budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience with leadership responsibility.
• Strong experience with GAAP reporting, SOX compliance, and federal-contractor accounting.
• Experience with DCAA audits, CAS compliance, FAR/DFARS regulations, or comparable government-contracting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation and timely submission of GAAP-based financial statements.
• Ensure SOX internal controls documentation, testing, remediation, and monitoring.
• Maintain CAS, FAR, and DFARS compliance for government contracting.
• Support DCAA audits, incurred-cost submissions, forward-pricing rate proposals, and related inquiries.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
• Monitor performance against budgets and provide variance analysis.
