Job summary

McClure Engineering seeks a Controller to lead the Finance function, reporting to the COO. This senior role ensures accurate, scalable financial operations and provides strategic insight to support growth and decision making.

You will manage accounting, financial reporting, audits, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow, while coaching the finance team and partnering with executives on performance drivers and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Experience leading accounting operations and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and internal controls.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with direct reports and team development.
• Advanced Excel and financial systems expertise.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to the COO and leadership team.
• Oversee financial reporting, month-end close, and audits; ensure accurate statements and management reports.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury activities; drive working capital improvements.
• Establish and maintain internal controls; ensure regulatory compliance and policy documentation.
• Coach and develop the Finance team; build scalable processes for growth.
• Improve reporting automation and system tooling to enhance data visibility.
