Uber Technologies Inc. in San Francisco is seeking an Associate on the Strategic Finance team. You will support FP&A activities for Platform Engineering, translating business questions into scalable financial analyses and driver-based models.

This role emphasizes exceptional modeling, forecasting, and collaboration with Finance and cross-functional partners. You will build, maintain, and improve models, produce insights, and help drive planning and decision-making.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, or another quantitative field.
• 2 years of relevant experience in FP&A, investment banking, consulting, corporate finance, or another analytical role.
• Exceptional Excel and/or Google Sheets skills with experience building complex financial models.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable financial models from scratch, identifying inputs, drivers, calculations, and outputs.
• Translate complex business questions into structured analytical frameworks.
• Forecasting & planning using driver-based models with scenario analyses.
• Analyze financial and operational data to understand cost drivers and trends.
• Improve existing models for accuracy, scalability, automation, and usability.
• Translate outputs into clear insights for Finance and business stakeholders.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to source inputs and validate data.
