Job summary

Acorns is seeking an ambitious Finance Analyst to enable, inform, and improve strategic and financial decision-making across the company. You will work closely with senior leadership in Finance and across product, engineering, marketing, legal, and operations from a remote-first setup with optional Irvine office access.

You will develop and present monthly insights, support budgets and forecasts, build financial models, and help drive key strategic initiatives including potential M&A.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/economics/finance or quantitative field.
• 1+ years of relevant industry experience with financial modeling.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to execute complex financial modeling and analyze raw data.
• High degree of organization, efficiency, and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication across cross-functional teams.
• Team-player with hands-on, entrepreneurial, fast-paced mindset.

Responsibilities

• Understand the product, business model, and financial outlook for Acorns.
• Provide monthly insights on business trends to product managers and department leaders.
• Support short- and long-term financial plans, assist in financial reporting and KPI variance analysis, and drive strategic initiatives.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance corporate financial models including budgets, forecasts, and cash flows.
• Build KPI frameworks, analyze product line performance, and support GTM strategy, partnerships, and potential M&A.
• Create clear presentations to articulate findings to key stakeholders.
