Job summary

Amazon in the United States is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support rapid new businesses within the Rapid and Rural Logistics (R2L) Finance portfolio. You will drive consolidation, MEC reporting, and insightful analysis across SSD, SSD Direct, and Rural Super Rural programs to improve profitability and customer experience.

You will partner with Finance, Accounting, and BI Engineering to build models, propose improvements, and influence leadership decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field.
• 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience.

Responsibilities

• Financial reporting and consolidation for SSD financial and operational performance
• Manage database tools, reporting mechanisms financial systems and create insightful analysis to drive business improvement
• Coordinate the overall close process partnering with various stakeholders across Finance, Accounting and Business Intelligence Engineering
• Facilitate effective leadership reviews, manage communication with stakeholders and monitor closure of follow-up items
• Creating financial models and plans, interpreting large data sets, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations that deliver results, drive improvements, and influence leaders throughout the company
• Building effective business partnerships and using active listening skills intuitively to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner
• Identifying opportunities to reduce operational costs through data and financial analysis inclusive of proactively resolving defects, benchmarking key performance indicators, and developing new metrics
• Implementing solutions to simplify, improve, automate, standardize and scale processes

Education
