Job summary

Clearwave Fiber is hiring an Analyst / Associate in Corporate Development & Strategic Finance to join the finance team under the VP of Finance. You will own the corporate operating model, build planning and reforecasts, and drive cash flow forecasting while supporting M&A, financing, and sponsor reporting.

The role emphasizes rapid output, transaction-paced priorities, and frontline modeling standards. A background in investment banking and strong Excel are essential, with AI tooling like Claude

Qualifications

• Prior investment banking experience is required.
• 2+ years of experience, majority in an investment banking analyst or associate program.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, engineering, or related quantitative field.
• Ability to build and own a clean, well-structured three-statement model from a blank page with advanced Excel and scalable model architecture.
• Analytical judgment to identify drivers, test assumptions, and provide actionable insights.
• Clear written and verbal communication to present concise recommendations to senior audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams with high output and rapid turnaround.

Responsibilities

• Own the corporate operating model and the scenario layer for planning, financing, and transaction analysis.
• Lead the annual operating plan and quarterly reforecasts with department heads.
• Produce monthly variance analysis and narrative for management, Board, and sponsor reporting.
• Own cash flow forecasting including the 13-week and long-range view.
• Support M&A and corporate development including target modeling, diligence, and post-close integration tracking.
• Prepare analysis and exhibits for Board, sponsor, and lender deliverables including debt maturity and refinancing analysis.
• Collaborate with construction, sales, operations, and marketing on budgets and return analyses.
• Apply modern AI tooling (Claude) to accelerate analysis, modeling, and reporting.
