Job summary

Highmark Health seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to perform financial research and analysis, forecast development, and trend reporting. You will build and maintain spreadsheets and databases, and present results to management. Travel to various sites is required.

The role requires 5–10 years in Accounting/Finance, proficiency in Excel/Access, and experience with Power BI, with strong relationship-building and strategic thinking skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience as determined by the company in lieu of Bachelor's degree
• 5–10 years of relevant, progressive experience in Accounting and/or Finance
• Experience with MS Excel and/or MS Access
• Experience with Power BI
• Strong relationship building skills
• Ability to think strategically and act proactively to create trust with business units

Responsibilities

• Prepare forecasts and analyses of financial results and trends
• Develop and maintain spreadsheets and databases for reporting
• Present summaries of analyses to management at all levels
• Analyze financial reports and records; provide variance explanations and recommendations
• Lead special financial studies and coordinate project progress and deadlines
• Input and retrieve accounting data using PC and/or mainframe systems and software
• Develop ad hoc reports and charts for distribution
• Coordinate cross-department activities to ensure on-time project completion
