Job summary

Briggs & Stratton seeks a Corporate Financial Analyst in Milwaukee to support corporate groups through month-end close, controllership, and strategic reporting. You’ll combine precise accounting with automation and AI tools to improve data accuracy and insight.

You will partner with leaders to analyze budgets, forecast variances, and refine operating plans, while driving audits and ensuring controls. A detail-driven, tech-forward collaborator is ideal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Solid GAAP understanding and financial controls.
• Experience with reconciliations and month-end close processes.
• Proficiency with Excel and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Interest in AI-driven financial tools and automation.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close including accruals and adjusting entries.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations and maintain account rigor.
• Collaborate on FP&A and budgeting, analyze variances.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI and automation in routines.
• Support external audit with documentation and calculations.
