Job summary

Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania seeks a Finance & Administration Director to provide strategic leadership of financial, administrative, and HR functions. This role oversees budgeting, forecasting, accounting, payroll, grant reporting, and annual audits to advance long-term sustainability.

Collaboration with the Executive Director and leadership team drives practical financial recommendations, strengthening internal systems while balancing strategic planning with day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, nonprofit management, or related field.
• Minimum five years of progressive experience in financial management and accounting.
• Nonprofit accounting and grant reporting experience preferred.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
• Experience coordinating annual audits and payroll/benefits administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting process and long-term financial planning.
• Oversee financial reporting, cash management, and month-end closes.
• Coordinate grant budgeting, reporting, and restricted funds tracking.
• Manage HR, payroll, benefits, and vendor relationships.
• Modernize financial systems, policies, and internal controls.
