Job summary

Calqulate is seeking a Director of Finance & Accounting Operations in Dallas, TX, hybrid, direct hire. The role reports to the President/CEO and owns the financial health of the business end to end, including strategic growth advisory and robust month-end processes.

You will oversee accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax, payroll, and financial systems across entities, with responsibility for GAAP-compliant statements and strong internal controls. Strong leadership and system knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

15+ years in progressive finance leadership roles.
8–10 years in senior financial leadership roles.
Experience leading finance teams through growth.
Advanced forecasting and BI skills.
Discretion and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.

Responsibilities

Own all accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax and financial systems across multiple entities and divisions.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, consolidated and entity-level, GAAP compliant.
Manage cash, banking relationships and liquidity planning through seasonal demand cycles.
Oversee payroll, IC commissions, year-end W-2s and 1099s, and 401(k) plan trustee duties including the IRS 5500.
Handle client and vendor billing, data reconciliations, audits and reporting.
Administer financial systems: Trams, QuickBooks, Grasp and related platforms.
Oversee entity formation and compliance across corporate affiliates.
Review management contracts and third-party operating agreements.
Perform financial due diligence on engagements.
Standardize financial policies, procedures and reporting templates across the portfolio.
Build a finance team and foster discipline and partnership between finance and operations.
