Job summary

Directive Consulting is a leading B2B performance marketing agency delivering real revenue through Customer Generation. We seek a Director of Finance & Accounting to elevate the finance function, strengthen labor models, optimize staffing and billable utilization, and drive disciplined cost management to expand margins and profitability.

You will lead GAAP-compliant close, oversee treasury, manage cash flow, and drive FP&A to support growth investments and capital allocation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA a bonus.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles.
• At least 5 years in a leadership position within performance marketing agencies.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations and financial management systems.
• Proven ability to hold business units accountable to budget and goals.

Responsibilities

• Close and reporting: Ensure GAAP-compliant 5-day close and deliver P&Ls.
• Controls: Design and enforce accounting policies and internal controls.
• Treasury: Manage cash; monitor AR/AP to keep receivables healthy.
• Revenue & margin: Oversee revenue recognition for retainer/project contracts; FP&A.
• Treasury & banking: Manage cash, banking relationships, and 13-week cash flow.
• Team leadership: Develop the Controller and support staff.
• Systems & processes: Improve reporting automation.
