Job summary

Minneapolis Glass Company seeks an accomplished Director of Finance & Accounting to influence business direction, not just report results. You will partner with the President, ownership, and the Board to strengthen financial outcomes and shape long-range strategy.

This senior role leads accounting, builds scalable processes, and guides the finance function as the company grows. The position requires 15+ years in accounting/finance, with 5+ years in manufacturing/construction and 3+ years of team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required; MBA/MSA/CPA advantageous.
• 15+ years progressively responsible work in accounting and finance.
• 5+ years in manufacturing and/or construction; experience in both ideal.
• Minimum 3 years managing an accounting or finance team.
• Strong general ledger, budgets, cost accounting, credit and collections, and fiscal management.
• Proficient Excel; knowledge of Acumatica is especially desirable.
• Experience in a family-owned or privately held organization is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Direct finance and accounting functions and lead a growing accounting team.
• Develop financial systems and procedures to aid business decisions.
• Coordinate budgets and forecasts with department leaders.
• Maintain internal controls and oversee external accounting firm relationships.
• Build ROI analyses for capital projects and advise on equipment purchases.
• Ensure accurate monthly close, reconciliations, payroll, inventory costing, and treasury.
• Partner with leadership and board to guide long-range direction.
