Job summary

Integral Federal in Tysons, VA seeks a Proposal Writer & Volume Lead to drive federal proposals from RFI to Final RFP. You will work with Proposal Manager, Capture Team, and SMEs to craft compliant, compelling responses for $5M–$250M+ opportunities.

Responsibilities include developing strategy, coordinating writers, and ensuring messaging consistency across volumes. Travel to support efforts may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years Federal proposal writing experience including technical and complex nontechnical volumes in government contracting.
• Proven ability to manage several tasks on multiple proposals simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Understanding of US Government acquisition processes (FAR, DFAR).
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Proficiency with advanced generative AI including sound human-in-the-loop editorial judgement.
• Ability to travel to support proposal efforts, primarily in the Tysons, VA area.

Responsibilities

• Analyze RFP requirements and develop compliant and timely artifacts for volumes and/or sections.
• Support development and articulation of proposal strategy, themes, strengths, discriminators, messages, and solutions.
• Collaborate with capture and proposal managers, solution architects, program personnel and others to document and communicate proposed solutions clearly.
• Conceptualize graphics to communicate management and technical information concisely.
• Ensure proposal compliance and integration of the proposal architecture.
• Research, write, edit, and produce sections for major proposals and RFI responses.
• Apply journalistic skills to interview experts and gather information for writing activities.
• Develop oral presentation content and scripts with oral presentation teams.
• Assess proposal content for compliance and quality; coordinate with writers and solution architects.
• Author and edit proposal content including text and graphics for a compliant, compelling response.
• Collaborate to ensure consistency across volumes and sections.
• Incorporate feedback from review teams to improve proposal quality.
