Job summary

Integral Federal is seeking a Proposal Writer on the Business Development Team in Tysons, VA to manage all aspects of proposal development from RFI to Final RFP. You will work with Proposal Manager, Capture Team, and SMEs to craft compliant, compelling responses for government bids, including GSA opportunities.

The role requires 5+ years in federal proposal writing, strong writing skills, and proficiency with MS Office; travel to Tysons, VA grounds the position in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Journalism, Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of related Federal proposal writing experience including technical and complex nontechnical volumes in a government contracting environment for multi-teammate proposals ranging from $5M to $250M+.
• Proven ability to manage several tasks on multiple proposals simultaneously, while meeting deadlines.
• Understanding of US Government acquisition processes and industry proposal response processes and practices (FAR, DFAR).
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Proficiency with advanced generative AI including sound human-in-the-loop editorial judgement.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplined teams under time pressure.
• Expert experience with the Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Analyze RFP requirements and develop compliant and timely artifacts for volumes and/or sections.
• Support development and articulation of proposal strategy, themes, strengths, discriminators, messages, and solutions.
• Collaborate with the capture and proposal managers, solution architects, program personnel and others to ensure clearly documented solutions.
• Conceptualize graphics to communicate management and technical information concisely.
• Ensure proposal compliance and complete integration of the proposal architecture.
• Research, write, edit, and produce sections for major proposals, white papers, and RFIs.
• Develop oral presentation content and scripts with oral teams to refine presentations.
• Assess proposal content and coordinate with writers and solution architects.
• Edit proposal content and graphics to construct a compliant and compelling response.
• Collaborate to ensure consistency across volumes and sections.
• Incorporate feedback from review teams to improve quality.
