Job summary

IGS Energy seeks a strategic leader to direct its regulatory and legislative strategy for wholesale electricity markets, interstate natural gas, and transmission policy. You will advocate before FERC, PJM, federal policymakers, and industry stakeholders, shaping policy outcomes and translating complex changes into business actions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; fields like Political Science, Public Policy, Economics, Energy, Engineering, Business preferred.
  • JD or Master in Public Policy/Energy preferred for advanced regulatory work.
  • Minimum 8 years in legislative/regulatory affairs or 5 years with JD and relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop advocacy strategies before FERC, PJM, federal agencies, and legislative bodies.
  • Build relationships with regulators, policymakers, industry groups, utilities, and market operators.
  • Represent IGS in PJM stakeholder meetings, FERC proceedings, and trade associations.
  • Collaborate with external counsel, consultants, lobbyists, and industry partners on filings and initiatives.
  • Lead regulatory initiatives related to FERC, PJM, wholesale energy markets, and transmission policy.
