Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a Sector Contracts Director to lead a diverse contracts team across multiple civilian agencies. You will negotiate terms, assess risk, and ensure compliance with FAR and agency supplements while guiding strategy for critical IT and health services programs.

The role requires strong leadership, federal contracting expertise, and the ability to scale teams across dispersed locations. Hybrid onsite in Falls Church, VA with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 14+ years contracts administration if no degree
• 10+ years of related contracts administration experience; 5+ years federal contracts experience
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication; advanced analytical and negotiation abilities
• Proven experience leading diverse geographic teams and mitigating contract risks
• Advanced knowledge of FAR and customer agency supplements
• Experience negotiating contract terms across various contract types

Responsibilities

• Oversee contracts administration staff for the civilian agency portfolio
• Ensure internal contractual compliance with terms and objectives
• Provide counsel on contracts and acquisition requirements to leadership
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing; review documents for legal sufficiency
• Coordinate with internal departments on contract questions and issues
• Review proposals for submission, including pricing and risk assessments
• Develop staff growth, succession planning and training programs
• Foster continuous improvement and collaboration in contract management
• Engage agency executives to build relationships
• Review and negotiate pre-award and post-award agreements
• Interpret work requirements and obligations; advise on implementation
• Stay current with procurement rules and practices
• Participate in special projects as required
