Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Sector Contracts Lead to oversee a portfolio of civilian agencies and lead a team of contracts professionals. The role emphasizes negotiation, risk mitigation, and ensuring compliance with federal procurement rules.

The leader will report to the Vice President of Federal Civilian Contracts and shape contracts strategy while driving growth across critical sector programs. Hybrid work from Falls Church, VA with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree.
• In lieu of degree, 14+ years of related contracts administration experience required.
• 5+ years of federal contracts experience.

Responsibilities

• Directly oversees contracts administration staff supporting the civilian agency portfolio.
• Ensures internal contractual compliance with terms and conditions.
• Provides advice, counsel and interpretation of contracts and acquisition requirements to leaders.
• Negotiates contracts, including price, terms, and conditions, and reviews documents for legal sufficiency.
• Engages agency contracting executive counterparts to develop relationships.
• Reviews and participates in proposal color reviews for pricing, scheduling, and risk Assessments.
• Develops and implements staff growth and training programs to build a high-performing contracts team.
• Fosters a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration across the team.
• Reviews and negotiates various pre-award and post-award agreements.
• Interprets contractual work requirements and obligations.
• Maintains knowledge of relevant contractual procedures and practices.
