Job summary

ATF is seeking a Budget Analyst (GS-13) in Los Angeles to support budget formulation, justification, presentation, evaluation, execution, monitoring and review across assigned areas.

The role requires expert guidance to stakeholders on fund allocation, maintaining trackers, and ensuring compliance with the Financial Plan. Strong analytical skills and knowledge of federal budgeting laws and directives are essential.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience in budget formulation, execution, and reporting.
• Ability to guide stakeholders on allocation and control of funds.
• Experience maintaining trackers and spreadsheets to monitor allotments and funding levels.

Responsibilities

• Providing expert advice to program managers on fund allocation and control.
• Supporting oversight of budget execution by monitoring inputs, outputs, and changes to the Financial Plan.
• Demonstrating knowledge of budget formulation and execution processes, laws, and directives.
• Collaborating with Directorates and program offices to advance ATF's mission.
• Preparing budget materials such as justifications, operating plans, mid-year reviews, and funding reports.
