Job summary

Ferroglobe USA Metallurgical Inc. in Bridgeport, Alabama, seeks a Facility Buyer to procure goods and services essential for plant operations, support CapEx projects, and optimize storeroom inventory to improve working capital.

You will lead end-to-end procurement, negotiate terms, monitor cost savings, and collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, and Project Management to ensure value, quality, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of procurement or purchasing experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Advanced experience with MS Office tools.
• Experience with SAP and procurement systems (Ariba, Coupa) preferred.
• Strong negotiation, planning, and coordination skills.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and process compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Deliver cost savings and value through supplier consolidation, contract negotiations, and opportunities for value creation in facility-related goods and services.
• Support CapEx projects by sourcing equipment, contractors, and services in collaboration with Engineering, Maintenance, and Project Management teams.
• Lead end-to-end procurement for routine facility needs and capital projects (RFP/RFQ, supplier evaluation, contract management).
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to secure value, quality, and timely project delivery.
• Monitor, track, and report cost savings and procurement milestones to stakeholders.
